Captain Ed Bunting Jr.
Also
known as Capt. Bunt, began his career at the age of 10 mating for Capt. Otto Reut of The First Timer and Capt. John Bisso of the “4 of us”, and many other old time legends. He earned his Captain’s license from the Seaman’s Church Institute. He worked as a Pilot for the Amboy Towing and Pilot Service for many years while running the Sea Horse at the same time. His first boat was named the Sea Horse and he was joined with his father, Edward J. Bunting, Sr. who at the time had just retired from the US Coast Guard and Master of the Leonardo Marina. Ed Senior has passed away but the family continues his maritime legacy. Since then, two more boats have been purchased with the latest boat being totally remodeled and updated to meet today’s standards and looks.
